Fall Seniors Day at Woodland Lakes

The OWLS will be going to Fall Seniors Day at Woodland Lakes on Tuesday, September 21, at 9:00 a.m. The guest speaker will be our own Ron Vance speaking on his trip to Israel and Gospel musician Tom Shelton will provide the entertainment. Cost is $8 which includes a delicious homemade meal. Contact Dale or our office by September 5 if you are interested in going.

Family Campout

This year’s WHCC Family Campout is going to be September 24-26 at General Butler State Park in Carrolton, Kentucky. Sites are $30 per night and can be shared by up to 8 people. You can camp one night or two. More information and a signup sheet are at the Welcome Center. Signup deadline is Sunday, September 19.

New Sunday Evening Series

Join us on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. for service. Starting in September, Rick Cherok will lead a series entitled: “Who Are We?: Our Unique Heritage in the Restoration Movement.” This series will be introduced by sermon Sunday morning, September 12 and will continue in teaching format for 9 weeks on Sunday evenings at 6 pm.

New Men’s Bible Study

The Tuesday night men’s Bible study will resume on September 14. We will begin a 5-week study called “Growing in Discipleship.” Each week’s meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the church. If you have questions or want to reserve a book, contact Paul or the church office.

New Opportunity for The Ladies

Beginning September 14, there will be a Tuesday night STAMP club and you will want to be a part of it! STAMP stands for Seeking To Attract More People. We will have a devotion, make stamped cards from scratch, prepare cards to be sent to those in our community, pray for the families that we will be sending them to and see what God does with our efforts. We will meet weekly from 7-8:00 p.m. Contact our office if you have questions. See you there!
