Western Hills Church Of Christ

Kids love the Western Hills Church of Christ Children’s Ministry! Kids and their parents appreciate the safe, fun and interactive learning environment.

Loving care is provided for newborns up to two years old in our nursery each Sunday from 9:30 AM to noon. Please send your child’s bag with diapers, bottles, cups and any other necessary supplies.

Two and three year olds will have a lot of fun as they play, sing, and learn basic Bible stories each Sunday morning. We get their little hands and minds busy!  Across the hall, four and five year olds experience the Bible come alive through exciting stories and activities.

First and second graders have a blast in 9:30 AM Sunday School learning about the Bible through a hands on approach; many fun crafts and games are used to help teach these students. For third through fifth grade, important and challenging Bible stories and lessons are taught using a variety of engaging techniques each week during the 9:30 AM Sunday School hour. Then, at 10:45 AM, the first through fifth graders are welcomed to move to the Junior Church room to sing contemporary worship songs, learn fun and exciting lessons from God’s word, meet challenges together, and be in fellowship with one another. We call it THE PULSE: Where Jesus is the Heartbeat of My Life! Sword Masters is our Sunday evening program for first through fifth grade students meeting 6 PM – 7 PM. Each session consists of games, activities, a lesson, and an occasional snack. Our Children’s Ministry is full of excited and experienced leaders ready to help your children begin and further their walk with our Lord.

How to get involved
We encourage parental involvement and welcome other adult volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a teacher or helper, contact Craig Shady for information about when and where you can serve. Western Hills Church of Christ Children’s Ministry has volunteer guidelines and standards that we hold as important. Upon expressing interest, you will be given more information about these guidelines.
Want to get your children involved with the WHCC Children’s Ministry? On any given Sunday, simply walk through our front doors and ask a friendly face about where your child’s respective classroom is located. If you are interested in more information, Craig Shady, our WHCC Children’s Minister, will be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

We hope to see you and your children this Sunday at Western Hills Church of Christ. Our classrooms offer plenty of room for any child who wants to join us in learning more about Jesus each week. See you soon!
